Después del playback que realizó al cantar el himno estadounidense en la asunción del presidente Barack Obama, la cantante Beyoncé emocionó con su voz a los espectadores del Super Bowl, la gran final del fútbol americano estadounidense, en el estadio de Nueva Orleans.
En el entretiempo, con un ajustado vestido negro de cuero que dejaba ver sus poderosas piernas, la cantante subió al escenario del estadio de Nueva Orleans e inició su espectacular presentación con un fragmento del tema "Love on Top", que combinó con "Crazy In Love" y terminó con el potente "Halo".
Uno de los momentos más alto del show sucedió cuando aparecieron sus ex compañeras de Destiny’s ChildKelly Rowland y Michelle William, para cantar sus éxitos "Bootylicious" e "Independent Woman".
La cantante de 31 años también fue la encargada de diseñar el escenario sobre el que actuó anoche formado por una plataforma con forma de dos rostros de perfil sobre el centro del campo.
Al final de su actuación, Beyoncé agradeció al público. "Gracias por este momento. Dios los bendiga a todos", dijo.

Para Michelle Obama, primera dama y admiradora reconocida de la cantante, la cantante fue la gran triunfadora de la noche y así quedó reflejado en su Twitter: "Estuvo fenomenal. Estoy muy orgullosa de ella", escribió.
Cuando el Superdome estaba preparado para los dos últimos cuartos del partido se produjo un inesperado apagón que fundió a negro las televisiones de millones de hogares en todo el país y dejó en blanco a los presentadores de la cadena CBS, la encargada de la retransmisión.

Beyonce’s spectacular performance provided an elaborate contrast to the on-field sporting action between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers, with special effects including a light show, fireworks, and kaleidoscopic multiple video footage of the star.
