Tres nuevos países se suman al top 200 – Brasil(199, Sao Paolo University), Arabia Saudita y los Emiratos Árabes Unidos – destacando el auge de los mercados emergentes en la educación superior.

Reconocida como la evaluación más completa del mundo sobre el desempeño universitario, nuestra última metodología WUR 3.0 incluye 18 indicadores cuidadosamente calibrados para evaluar a las instituciones en cinco áreas clave: enseñanza, entorno de investigación, calidad de la investigación, compromiso con la industria y perspectiva internacional.
La clasificación de 2025 incluye 2092 universidades clasificadas. Hay 185 nuevas entradas en comparación con el año pasado.
En general, recopilaron 472 694 puntos de datos de 2860 instituciones que enviaron datos.
La metodología detallada, en la que confían en todo el mundo estudiantes, profesores, académicos, gobiernos y expertos de la industria, se basa en:
- 157 millones de citas
- 18 millones de publicaciones de investigación
- respuestas a encuestas de más de 93 000 académicos de todo el mundo
- El análisis muestra que la reputación de los sectores de educación superior del Reino Unido y los EE. UU. está en declive.

Descubre las mejores universidades del mundo en investigación científica interdisciplinaria con el ranking inaugural de Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings, un proyecto en asociación con Schmidt Science Fellows. Han clasificado 749 universidades de 92 países/territorios, un récord para un nuevo ranking.
Ranking de Ciencias Interdisciplinarias 2025: información clave
El MIT es el número uno del mundo en ciencia interdisciplinaria, gracias a las altas puntuaciones en resultados y procesos
La universidad mejor clasificada fuera de los EE. UU. es la Universidad Nacional de Singapur en el puesto número tres.
La Universidad Príncipe Mohammad Bin Fahd en Arabia Saudita tiene la puntuación más alta en el pilar de insumos.
La Universidad de Stanford, en el puesto número dos, tiene la puntuación más alta en el pilar de resultados.
El país con la mayor cantidad de universidades clasificadas es India con 65, seguido de Turquía con 45.
En América Latina la primer universidad es la Universidad Autonoma de Mexico(UNAM, puesto 54), la Universidad de Sao Paolo, Brasil (puesto 57) y la Universidad Catòlica de Chile(puesto 59) en el ranking de Investigaciones cientìficas interdisciplinarias.
